In the logistics sector, we were able to implement two further projects, with which I am very satisfied.
Administration
The existing logistics office in Hall W was expanded, renovated, and brought up to current standards. This has created an ergonomic and bright workspace that is ideal for the well-being of our logistics managers.
Picking area (Hall W)
By implementing roller conveyors in the order picking area (Hall W), we were able to streamline the workflow. Previously, the order picker had to dismount from the forklift and prepare the pallet. They had to take a new pallet, retrieve the frame, place it on the pallet, and finally place a sheet of cardboard inside. This optimization will save us 385 hours per year in this area. The changeover reduces the old, manual process to a minimum. It also improves ergonomics and safety for employees.
