In the inter-company courses (üK), apprentices acquire the specialized industry knowledge necessary for successful professional practice. The multi-day courses for the training and examination sectors (A+P) "Hardware," "Household Appliances," "Electrical Engineering," and "Paints" take place on fixed dates and require prior registration. Our work just got easier! Starting today, our work with the handles will be much easier and better. Slavica and Dani can now attach the shovels with a new device, the screwing machine. This is a big step for us. We used to use nails to attach the shovels. But screws are much stronger and hold better. This means our shovels are now even safer and more reliable. Another advantage is that everything goes much faster with the screwing machine. We save time and can get more done in less time. This is great for all of us. Working with the screwing machine is also more ergonomic.

Dear colleagues, today was a special day for everyone at Backi Jarak – barbecue day! We had a large grill platter full of delicious things for every taste: sausages, cevapi (small, spicy meat rolls), schnitzels, skewers, and of course, sauerkraut. It was truly delicious! We've been successfully using SiSiSi menus for over half a year. Time for an initial interim assessment: One thing is clear: SiSiSi menus are here to stay! By the way, you'll find a QR code on your refrigerator over the next few weeks that you can use to tell us your menu preferences. We strive to constantly add variety to our menu and hope to add the delicious Green Thai Curry to our range soon. Incidentally, prices have remained the same despite the VAT increase. Our Christmas drinks reception took place this afternoon. We set up a gift table with presents from our suppliers. Everyone was able to choose something to take home. Last year (2022) was a tough year for most pension funds. Ours, FUTURA, also lost a lot of its reserves (although it always had enough money). Dear Colleagues, Today we installed a display at the site entrance. It shows the current output of our photovoltaic system. This is the system that converts solar energy into electricity. Wednesday was not a normal day at work for the apprentices. To get to know each other better and simply because it's fun, the apprentices were able to plan an excursion together. The apprentices chose a day at Europa-Park. It is important to Steinemann AG to offer apprentices quality training. In logistics, we have now managed to ship the high number of jumbo orders. Many thanks to everyone involved! Last week, we had a large volume of orders in Hall B. There was a peak of more than 2,500 orders that needed to be processed. We recognized early on that we couldn't manage the work with overtime alone. We quickly decided to work in two shifts in Hall B. We hired two additional temporary employees. After a few changes, we found the right employees and were able to get started. The pressure on our employees was high.

This afternoon, all the apprentices enjoyed a meal together with the CEO. Bertan Aslan, Mirsade Kurtishi, Silas Bischof, and Stefan Varadi were there. Bert replaced all the halogen lamps in Halls W and B. We replaced over 1,000 old lamps (such as fluorescent tubes, gas-pressure lamps, and halogen lamps) with 500 new LED lamps or floodlights. The new lamps are much brighter and distribute the light optimally, allowing us to work better. The lamps are easier on the eyes and consume less electricity. The investment cost approximately CHF 70,000. We save 100,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually. That's as much as 20 single-family homes consume in a year.
