Dear Colleagues
Today we installed a display at the entrance to the site. It shows the current output of our photovoltaic system. This is the system that converts solar energy into electricity. But what does it actually show?
Specifically, we have a system output of 442 kilowatts peak (kWp). That's 1,924 modules or 3,146m2. Sounds like a lot of numbers, right? But it's actually quite simple - our system is really powerful!
To date, it has generated 4 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity. That is a huge amount! To make it more understandable. That corresponds to:
– the electricity consumption of 4,000 households for a whole month!
– cooking 40,000,000 hot dogs or
– 800,000,000 cups of coffee or
– Accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h 20,000,000 times with a Tesla plaid.
Pretty neat!
Many thanks to Bert, Jugo and Jens for the installation and integration into our system.
